Modify Roundabout
The roundabout can be modified in multiple ways. By selecting the roundabout, the following manipulators display.
Roundabout Properties
Like other objects, roundabout holds properties that can be modified. Some are non-geometric and others are geometric (changing the roundabout geometry). Accessing the roundabout properties is accomplished by clicking on the roundabout, which activates the right drawer area.
Property |
Description |
Name |
Change this property anytime to help identify objects. Changing this property will not change the roundabout geometry. |
Status |
Determines the life cycle of an object. It can be either Proposed, Existing or Construction. The Proposed status determines if the object is used in the cost and quantities calculation. Changing this property will not change the roundabout geometry. |
Material |
Determine the material to be applied. It can be either Asphalt, Concrete or Gravel. |
Island Material |
Determine the material to be applied to the island. It can be either Concrete, Asphalt, Dirt, Grass or Water. |
Allow Traffic Islands |
Determines if a traffic island is generated, if applicable. |
Allow Central Island |
Determines if central islands are generated, if applicable. |
Tilted Plane |
Refers to the vertical design method in which a circular profile of the central island is tilted. If set to True, only a single high and low point exists on that profile. |
Has Curb |
Curb placed between the apron and the circulatory areas. |
Has Apron |
This is the traversable but raised (usually pavers or stamped concrete) strip interior to the actual drivable circulating width. If set to True, the Apron width and slope can also be adjusted. |
To edit the width of the apron, you can select the manipulators with the Element Selection tool.
Add/Remove Yield Marking
Right-clicking on the road marking on a Roundabout or an Intersection allows you to Add Yield or Remove Yield markings.
